What a Day!

Well today was a very big day. This very nice couple came to my foster mom’s house and brought the cutest little greyhound gal you’ve ever seen to meet me. My foster mom told me that the sweet little girl has been very sad since her greyhound brother passed away and everyone is hoping that I can go live with them for now and help cheer her up. Even though I was a little nervous about leaving my foster mom’s house when I was just getting used to things there, I am going to try my best to cheer this family up and be a good boy for them – I sure do have some big shoes to fill, but my foster mom told me she thinks I may just have what it takes!

My foster Mom says to make sure and tell everyone she sent some of her famous chicken-carrot cupcakes with the nice people who are going to be keeping me so we can have a little belated birthday party at their house. I will make sure they call my foster mom soon and give her an update so she can let everyone who follows me here know how I am doing.

Wish me luck on this new adventure!

Hugs and kisses,

Scotty

PS: I just want to say thank you to everyone who came to the Hermitage M&G this past Saturday to meet me. I had a great time and my foster mom said I meet and greet like a pro!

Here I am letting the folks driving by admire my handsomeness.

All us greyhounds know this guy is a total softie when it comes to us. Suck up to him and you will likely get some very yummy treats:-D

Here is us on the ride home from M&G. My foster brother looked like he would pass out at any moment, but I was all smiles and ready for round 2!

I Almost Forgot!

If you know me, you know hound birthdays are a pretty big deal at our house:) Scotty turned four just six days before coming to our house, so a party is in order! In a few days when he is more comfortable, we are going to have a belated party for him. Party pictures to come!

What a Difference a Day Makes

Scotty has been with us now just over 24 hours. When we brought him home from the animal hospital yesterday, my first impression of him was he was very timid. After showing him his crate, he just kind of hid out in there and watched everything going on around him. I decided to just let him be and let us know when he was ready for more. He slept through the night without making a sound. I got up and started cleaning the house this morning and left the crate door open. By noon he was following me around, sniffing things, and was carrying stuffies around. He has had very good house manners so far and seems like a total sweetheart. We will work on that more this week and I'll post an update in a few days when I get to know him better.

Thanks for checking out this handsome hound!
